Sip and See’s

Sip and See Collage

A tradition deeply rooted in the South, Sip and See’s have recently migrated North and are becoming a fun way to introduce new additions to their “village” (family).  The “Sip” originated from Southerners love of home made iced tea and lemonade. The “See” is well of course, the introduction of the new baby bundle. It could also be a convenient  alternative for an early arriving baby.

“Sip and See’s” are great because they can include everyone in the family, young and old. Traditionally, baby showers are geared toward women; with “Sip & See’s” men are invited to join in the celebration! At first thought, one might assume it has to be a formal occasion, when actually, just the opposite is true. Depending on what suits your guests you can choose to serve any style of menu! Also, if baby shower games don’t tickle your fancy, a “Sip & See” is the perfect route to go.  The focus is on welcoming the new baby into the family while enjoying great drinks with loving family and friends.

Have you attended a “Sip and See” ?  How would you host one?
