{CGE Top 3} Back to School Gifts for Your Favorite Teacher

September is here and it’s Back to School time!  What better way to show your appreciation for your child’s teacher than a hand made gift? Here are our Top 3 Back to School Gifts for Teachers.

1. Crayon Monogram

I found this DIY project on Ashley Paramor’s blog, Nesting Sticks . Fun, simple and personal.

How to:

Print your letter out on a scrap piece of paper.

Lay crayons out over letter, cut individually to length using a sharp knife and cutting board.

Use hot glue to attach each cut piece to the next, then glue crayon letter to a nice piece of stiff paper.

Frame.

*DIY Tip:

When you’re making the straight cuts it helps to roll the crayon under your knife to score it all the way around, then it just snaps in the center leaving a cleaner cut. Unfortunately it doesn’t work with the slanted cuts.

2. S’mores with a Sweet Message

How adorably sweet are these? What teacher wouldn’t love to recieve this treat?  The crafting chicas on Domestic Lady have even included the printable topper FREE!

Here’s what you’ll need:

 4×9 inch clear cello bags

cracker graham squares/ marshmallows/ mini chocolate bars

*Directions for warming the S’mores are on the back side of the printable toppers.

3. 1st Day of School Survival Kit

This gift is so UNIQUE! When I first saw it on Bee In Our Bonnet, I swooned!!! Most of the treats and supplies can be found at your local dollar store.

Fill a plastic container with hand sanitzer, colorful paper clips, erasers, bandaids and your teacher’s favorite candy!

Glue the ” First Day of School Survial Kit” label to the top of the box. Get your label here!

Wrap a fun polka dot or even striped ribbon around your kit. Then, GIFT!

These gifts are so simple and thoughtful ways to say “Thank You” in advance for the great school year ahead!
