{Local Love} Stout + NYC

It’s Local Love Thursday and I can’t wait to tell you where to get the best burgers in New York City! I spent this past weekend shopping, socializing and dining in the Big Apple with some close friends. And as usual, NYC did not disappoint.

We all know the kind of appetite you work up after an 8 hour day of shopping; and a juicy burger is the perfect reward! Located on West 33rd Street, just a few blocks from Madison Square Garden, Stout NYC has more to offer than your average sports bar. Picture the “Stout Scene” : an Irish style pub with 3 full levels and around 18,000 square feet; a decor theme of “All Rustic Everything” that is complimented by dim lighting and over 15 large flat screen tv’s through out the restaurant. In addition, the cobble stone floors and stone walls add an urban underground element. This is THE place to watch sports in NYC!

At Stout NYC, burgers are not just on the menu, they are the staple cuisine at this sports bar. Served on brioche buns, with Delancey Street pickles these gourmet burgers will make you think twice about ordering one from any where else.

Vegetarian are you? Well, at Stout NYC you will not be left out. They serve a salmon burger topped with lemon pepper aioli and even aΒ  crabmeat + rock shrimp burger with grain mustard tartar sauce.

Housing over 50 flavors, types and styles of beerΒ  Stout NYC is sure to have the perfect pairing for the sandwich of your choice! This place is no slouch when it comes to side orders either, they are renowned for their hand cut sweet potato fries and Heinz baked beans and toast.Β  There are 12 dipping sauces offered for pairing with fries and burgers in eclectic flavors; the 2 I tried were amazing!! : mango ketchup (which is fresh mangoes that have been pureed to a ketchup-like consistency) and chipotle honey (which is all natural honey that has been mixed with chipotle seasonings).

I ordered the classic Stout Burger, sweet potato fries with mango ketchup.

I always order red meat “medium well, with a small slither of pink”, (Yes, that’s exactly how I order it) and it’s always a gamble sometimes it comes out too pink or too well; but this burger came out perfect! The mango ketchup added a different, yet delicious, sweet taste to the sweet potato fries (I even put a little on my burger and it was great!). My girlfriend ordered the chicken burger topped with guacamole and was surprised the chicken was just as juicy as my beef burger.

Before event planning , I worked as a high end retail manager for years. It is because of this background that I am stickler for supreme customer service! Stout NYC’s customer service was beyond impressive; from the friendly greeter at the door to our sweet and attentive waitress, Alana we felt welcomed and appreciated the whole time! This experience has earned Stout NYC a special place on CGE’s Local Love list!

So the next time you visit, New York City be sure to grab a bite (and a game) at Stout NYC!
