Hola! Cinco de Mayo is this Saturday (as if we needed a reason to drink on a Saturday). It’s no secret that more Corona’s are probably consumed on this day than any other day of the year. But what do you do if you’re like me and not a fan a beer at all?
When life gives you beer, make cupcakes!
Erica, of Erica’s Sweet Tooth, originally posted this recipe for Corona infused cupcakes with a classic cream cheese frosting for a Superbowl party; but I think they are perfect for Cinco de Mayo.
Using the bottle was such a cool and simple idea. You could even add lime zest to the frosting for an extra punch of flavor.
Chicken and beer.
Who doesn’t enjoy fajitas?? Have you ever had Corona Lime Fajitas ? Watch this video and Dr. Sean will show you how quick and easy these can be.
I know. I know. Your mouth is salivating, right???
Frozen not stirred.
This by far is thee most simplest way to enjoy a Corona without drinking it! Ha!
Ok, so here are the super, duper difficult instructions for “preparing” these frozen treats:
Step 1 : Pop the top on a bottle of Corona and pour it into the mold of your choice .
Step 2: Let the molds freeze for about 2 hours; by then the beer should be almost frozen.
Step 3: Stick your popsicle sticks in the center of each mold and place them back in the freezer for another 2 hours.
*If you’re into presentation as much as I am, use a slinder lime wedge to garnish each pop. But this is completely optional; especially after all the hard work you put into making the Corona popsicles in the 1st place.
These 3 recipe ideas are great additions to your Cinco de Mayo celebration. How will you be celebrating this weekend? Are you hosting a party? We love to hear what our readers are up to.
